This is a fantastic Italian-made espresso and cappuccino machine from a maker that’s been around since the 1970s. It is a single boiler machine with the famous E61 group head found on nearly all high-end semiautomatic machines. It comes with a naked portafilter with single, double, and triple baskets and a blind basket for back-flushing. The boiler is stainless steel, and there are no corrosion issues, as seen in the internal photo. This Isomac machine has been a great second-step for us after using a cheaper Breville model for a while. If you’re getting serious about good espresso at home but aren’t ready to shell out thousands of dollars for a similar new machine, this Zaffiro will absolutely not let you down. It is currently used to make multiple drinks every day, and it runs flawlessly. The machine is simple to maintain with parts easily available if you ever need them. Some recent refurbishment was done, including gasket replacement and new electrical connections, switches, and lights. The machine is regularly cleaned with proper back-flushing and descaling, and only filtered water has been used with it to ensure consistent operation. Original box is not included. The grinder has been upgraded with a 3D-printed impeller that better discharges coffee grounds without the wear problems of the OEM impeller. The original box for the grinder is included.
