A substantially improved version of the old T-3 model, the T-4 takes precision and stability to a completely new level. Vital functions like the motor and the main shaft are now mounted in a zinc cast top which includes the integrated sleeves for the Universal Support. Along with the stadium shaped design of the holes (patent pending), this advanced feature ensures an unbeatable precision for the Universal Support, which is the foundation of the Tormek jig system. You get a high quality machine ideal for home and hobby work which can sharpen all the common edge tools. The T-4 uses all of the same jigs as the full size T-7. The 8″ X 1-5/8″ (200 X 40mm) aluminium oxide Grindstone along with a 5-3/4″ X 1″ (145 X 26mm) Leather Honing Wheel that operates at 120 RPM. The Grinding Stone and Honing Wheel ride on a Stainless Steel main shaft and stone hardware with EzyLock. To help you resist the temptation to try to lift the machine with the Universal Support, an integrated handle has been added to make the machine easy to move and position. The housing is made with a Zinc cast top, a metal front plate (for keeping the AngleMaster), and impact resistant ABS plastic.
